Orion is awesome. The technician came to my house right the way and worked very efficiently. Only charged me a service fee. In a hot day like today, can't thank enough for good service and value to bring cool air back in the house!
We've called Orion twice now (at 2 different places ) after our AC went out. Both times they came out on the same day and fixed the issue. Yuri is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to explain what the issues are. I will definitely call them again next time our AC needs service.
Had a great experience with Orion Air , never thought that it could be so easy to get my air condition work again. Same day appointment , 20 min diagnostics and 20 min repairs, that it, 40 min and my ac is working again. Thank you Guys, from now I'll call only you
They gave me an honest appraisal without charging for unnecessary tests, and did the installation quickly, in the middle of an epic heat wave. They might be newer than some of the other folks around, but they are building a stellar and well-deserved reputation. Don’t hesitate!
Orion HVAC responded to my service request within minutes. They were able to fit me into their schedule right away and were punctual to the job. They were able to locate the problem and fix it in less than 30mins. Punctual, professional, clean and affordable; I will be calling them back for any future HVAC needs!
Not every AC problem requires replacement but some do. Here are the clearest signals that a new system makes more sense than another repair:
Not sure whether repair or AC replacement is the smarter call? We’ll give you the honest numbers on both options and let you decide, so you can choose the best solution for your cooling needs.
We install central air conditioning systems for residential homes throughout Van Nuys and the surrounding Valley. Every installation starts with proper load calculations. We size the system for your home’s actual cooling demand, not just square footage.
Replacing an aging or failing system with a modern, energy efficient unit reduces operating costs and eliminates the cycle of recurring repairs. We handle everything from removal of the old system to final testing of the new one.
Heat pumps provide both heating and cooling in a single system. For Valley homes where winters are mild, they’re an energy efficient option worth considering when you’re already replacing your AC. We’ll give you an honest assessment of whether a heat pump makes sense for your situation.
No existing ductwork? Room addition, garage, or a space the central system can’t reach? Ductless mini splits are a flexible and efficient solution we install throughout Van Nuys and the surrounding area.
A properly matched thermostat maximizes the efficiency and comfort of your new system. We install and configure standard and smart thermostats before we consider the job complete.
In a climate as demanding as the San Fernando Valley’s, proper sizing matters. An oversized system short cycles, fails to dehumidify, and wears out faster than it should. An undersized system runs constantly and can’t keep up during heat waves. We do the load calculation correctly so the system fits your home.
Our office is in Van Nuys. We’re not driving in from another part of the county, we’re already in the neighborhood, and we understand what Valley homes deal with in the summer.
We recommend what your home actually needs, at a price point that makes sense for your budget. You’ll hear the options, the real trade-offs, and what we’d choose in your position, not what earns us the highest margin.
After assessing your home, we give you a complete fixed price, equipment, labor, disposal of the old unit. No change orders on installation day. No hidden costs that surface after you’ve committed.
A new AC system is only as good as its installation. Our technicians are licensed, trained, and careful. We follow manufacturer specifications and local code requirements on every job to ensure your system performs as rated and your warranty stays valid.
We protect your home during installation and clean up completely when the job is done. No packaging, no debris, no mess left behind.
We schedule installations Monday through Saturday, 8am to 7pm, with Sunday availability from 9am to 2pm.
Installation cost depends on the system type, capacity, brand, and complexity of the job, including whether any ductwork or electrical modifications are needed. We give you a fixed price after assessing your home, so you know exactly what you’re agreeing to before we schedule the crew.
Most residential installations are completed in one day. Projects requiring ductwork modifications, electrical panel upgrades, or other infrastructure changes may take longer. We’ll give you a realistic timeline upfront.
Proper sizing depends on your home’s square footage, insulation, ceiling height, window area, sun exposure, and local climate data. In the Valley, sun exposure and home orientation can significantly affect the load calculation. We run the numbers correctly, we don’t guess.
For many Van Nuys homes, a heat pump is worth considering. Valley winters are mild enough that a heat pump can handle heating effectively without a gas furnace. We’ll walk you through the trade-offs honestly and help you decide which option makes more sense for your specific situation.
It’s possible, but adding ductwork to an existing home is a significant project. In many cases, a ductless mini split system is a more cost effective and less invasive solution. We’ll assess your home and give you an honest comparison of both paths.
We install all major residential HVAC brands. We recommend equipment based on your home’s needs, your budget, and long-term reliability, not manufacturer promotions.
We service all major residential brands. Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York, American Standard, and others. Not sure if we work on your unit? Give us a call.
